My name is Nicole (she/her), and as a therapist I believe that each client is the expert in his/her/their own life. 

I actively incorporate our relationship, the “therapeutic alliance,” into sessions. I treat issues like PTSD, trauma, depression, parent-child relationships, perinatal and postpartum depression and anxiety. 

I provide online counseling services with men, women, and nonbinary people who are in Alaska.

Prior to private practice, I’ve provided outpatient and residential psychotherapy services to individuals across the lifespan through community mental health, interdisciplinary family medicine, and tribal health agencies. 

I'm a pre-licensed therapist, which means I am working under the supervision of Psychologist & board approved supervisor (Dr. Ekstrom, #169093, #125200), read more about that here.

Prior to my professional bio, I grew up on the east coast between southeastern Pennsylvania and upstate New York, and moved to Alaska in 2016 to finish my undergraduate degree. 

I stayed for my college / the mountains / moose / aurora / general Alaska vibes, and haven't found a reason to leave Alaska since! 

When I am not being someones therapist, I like to spend my time outside gardening, hiking, camping, or being on the water. 

I'm an "iced coffee is a year round beverage" and "MTV used to play music" type of millennial. I'm a fan of humor, and I hope to hear all about (or see) your pets.
