Insurance
As a pre-licensed clinician I am not able to accept or bill insurance at this time.
I provide a "superbill" to clients either at the end of each session or end of each month (pending your preference).
A superbill explains the interventions provided and the cost for those services which can be submitted to an insurance network for reimbursement; after paying for services out-of-pocket.
If you receive out-of-network benefits from your insurance provider it's best to speak with your insurance company and confirm coverage in writing.
Payment
- Private-Pay (credit / debit card, cash)
- Out-of-Network Provider Benefits
My name is Nicole Zegiestowsky M.S. and I am a pre-licensed therapist in Alaska. My clinical supervisor is Psychologist Dr. Hannah Ekstrom (#196093, #125200)
Scroll to read information regarding my rates / insurance for telehealth individual and group therapy services and more about pre-licensure.
I maintain a limited number of sliding fee scale spots for adult individual therapy and group counseling sessions; contact me directly for additional information to find out if this is a good option for you.
Additional Information
Good Faith Estimate
I review my Good Faith Estimate policy with each new client during intake.
HIPAA (Healthcare Information Portability and Accountability Act) & Confidentiality
I review my informed consent policy with each client during the initial intake appointment.
There are laws and professional ethics that require therapists to maintain confidentiality. This means the topics you share will be private except: where the law requires and/or in therapeutic groups where complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
I use TherapyNotes (a certified HIPAA compliant platform) for client/ clinical documentation, telehealth appointments, and to generate "superbills".
Please contact me with any additional questions you may have.
Information on Licensure:
Working with a pre-licensed therapist means that your therapist is following state-specific licensure requirements determined by each state's professional counselor licensing board.
For those who like additional information:
Post graduation master's- and doctorate-level mental healthcare workers meet with a licensed and board-approved clinical supervisor to oversee and monitor the pre-licensed provider's counseling skills, client care, counselor competency, and clinician's adherence to professional code of ethics.
Upon completion of pre-licensure requirements, pre-licensed providers are eligible to apply for a professional license, the clinical supervisor provides the licensing board with his/her recommendation on approving the license applicant.
Working with a pre-licensed therapist is almost like getting two therapists for the price of one!
Each state has its own guidelines, requirements, and processes.
The Alaska Board of Professional Counselor's requires at least 2 years of post-graduation pre-licensed supervised experience before LPC eligibility.
I review this information with each prospective client during our free 20-minute initial consultation, and am happy to answer any questions.
Dr. Ekstrom is available for questions; contact information can be located using the Contact button below.
I look forward to hearing from you!
